A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten address under the exact same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited emails, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software so as to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be surprisingly easy in case you’ve got a website hosting plan with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, yet intuitive Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your web hosting account. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up shown alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each one of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously show you whether a certain mailbox stores all the emails pertaining to a certain domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any time. In case there’s activated email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you will get a warning message from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without any difficulty in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small-size button conveniently located right next to each one. With just one single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option through the contextual menu that will come into view. In case any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
